First Birthday Shenanigans

Baby Thomas turned one while I was home, and it was SO fun to be a part of all the celebrations! We had a family party on the actual night of his birthday, and then he had a bigger party that weekend. He enjoyed his first birthday cake, although he mostly ate the frosting - my kind of guy. :) He seemed to really love his presents, especially his toy phone, which he held up to his ear to talk on, and his broom set. He likes to help his mom clean! My sister-in-law Jamie, and her whole family, came into town for the birthday weekend, so we all got to celebrate together. Thomas' cousins Connor and Aaron loved helping him open his presents, and blow out his candles, they were a big help when Thomas couldn't quite do it himself.

Aside from getting to see all my friends and family, the main reason for the trip to Arizona was to see one of my best friends Jessica get married! It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day, and everything went off without a hitch. Drew played the piano (well, keyboard technically) for the ceremony, and did an awesome job. I think my favorite part was the sparklers at the end of the nights - everyone loved them, and it made for some great photos! Congratulations Jess and Robert!

Meeting Baby Thomas

One of the harder parts of living so far from home is the evens that we miss out on. One of the biggest things we missed was our nephew, Thomas, being born last October. He was born less than a month after we moved to England, and although we get to Skype and see him, it wasn't quite the same as seeing him in person. I finally got to meet him when I was in the States, I was so excited! He is quite the handsome little guy, and so active, and so HAPPY all the time!
